In honor of Hood To Coast with Team Nuun being 20 days away, let's celebrate with a Nuun Giveaway. If you've ever read more than two sentences on my blog, you know I can't get enough of this stuff. I drink it all them time - including right now. Double-fisting cherry limeade and coffee, no biggie.
Yeah I kind of like it. |
It wasn't overly sweet, it was the perfect hint of flavor and I felt instantly better. Plus I could carry it in my purse. Since then it's been a nonstop obsession and I've tried almost every flavor. FACT: I have spent my whole life dehydrated, I suck at drinking water. It might have something to do with the copious amount of salt I take in every day; I've got a salt addiction like you've never seen. I could care less about sweets but if they had human salt licks I would own one. I still probably don't drink as much water as I should but with Nuun I drink a lot more than I did before.
An estimated 75 percent of Americans are chronically dehydrated. Dehydration most often occurs when you do not drink enough water nor regularly enough. On a day-to-day basis, most people won’t realize they are dehydrated until they start to feel the symptoms and by this time, the damage of dehydration has already set in. Dehydration can result in muscle fatigue, cramps, headaches, dizziness, nausea, decreased performance level, and rapid heart rate.
I feel 100% better when I hydrate during the day and on long runs. I sometimes (read - always) use it the morning after I've partaken in a few delicious adult beverages as well. I've seen a huge improvement in my running and in the way I feel since I started drinking Nuun. Zero sugars and only 8 calories per tab make it guilt free. You only get the good stuff and none of that overly sweet/sugary crap. I've turned on lots of friends to Nuun and I've heard nothing but positive feedback from all of them. In fact you can't really get me to shut up about the stuff. This weekend at CLR , Leslie and I were basically the traveling sales duo for Nuun.
Finally, the company is just awesome. They have ingrained themselves in the endurance athlete world and support great people and causes. Everyone I've met who works for Nuun has been super down-to-earth and someone I'd like to hang out with on a regular basis. I am very honored that they have officially knighted me as a Nuun ambassador - check out my fancy new profile page. Legit, right?
There are 20 more days until I get to head up to Seattle to hang out with the Nuun crew and some awesome women athletes. In the meantime I am offering a giveaway of Nuun four pack (any flavor) to one lucky reader. Enter Here:

July Stats:
Running: 96 Miles
Hiking: 6.5 Miles
Yoga: 90 min
Total: 102.5
That's the most I've run in one month all year but clearly my biking and swimming fell completely off the map because of it.
Too many to choose from! I tend to stick to citrus or orange type flavors, so I'm leaning towards the Citrus Fruit.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite flavor is Watermelon, hands down. It has a great taste and I'm so bummed it's seasonal. The cucumber mint is nice and refreshing, perfect for sipping during the day but I tend to stick to the fruiter flavors during runs.
